Vampire Fairy Castle Cake
Some Sweet 16th Birthdays are, well, not filled with puppies and rainbows. For this particular cake, the birthday girl wanted vampire fairies flying around a dark castle. I immediately said yes.
The Fairies
The person ordering the cake thought it would be best if the fairies were not edible just in case the birthday girl wanted to keep them, so I went to the store, picked out three of Tinkerbell's fairy friends and started painting on details to vamp them up. I think the red one turned out the best.

Originally I was going to make rocks out of fondant, but I found these candy coated chocolate rocks and thought they would look much better.
Back of Cake
I piped black vines crawling up the cake from the base for added details.
