My client Amanda (who, along with our friend Sarah, is my best repeat customer) ordered a baby shower cake for her friend Sarah. Now she pretty much left it up to me as far as design went, just emailed me pictures of the invites and told me the colors. Now I could have left it at that, but the moment she sent me a picture message of the light switch cover and wall hangings, I knew that was the style I wanted to use for the cake!

The name of the baby-to-be was Caden, and since he was half Chinese, Amanda thought it would be neat to put both English & Chinese names on the cake. So I did a little research, found the Mandarin for Caden and placed it on the back of the cake.

The Mom-to-be loves giraffes and decided on the safari theme for the nursery for the giraffes, so I made the only 3D figure a giraffe next to a tree.
