"Who is Cakes by Cory?"
Cakes by Cory actually consists of 3 people. Cory (the owner & main decorator), PJaye (a wiz at recipes & decorator in her own right), and Greg (the office manager... basically the guy runs all the behind-the-scenes stuff, like making sure we're licensed and paying our taxes!)
"How'd you get started?"
My name is Cory and I've been doing cakes for years for family and friends. Birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and cakes just for the heck of it. Well, once it got to the point where friends and family of my friends and family were asking me to make cakes for them, I knew I had to start this business. So with the help of my partner Greg, we made it happen! Our friend PJaye was an obvious choice to help too, as she is an excellent cake decorator, and its always fun to bounce ideas off each other. While she specializes in iced cakes and decor, I love making creations out of fondant and gumpaste.

It just wouldn't feel right without mentioning our great friend Sarah, who really pushed me into starting this business. Actually, I think her and Greg ganged up on me! So to pay her back, I'm going to go ahead and mention that Sarah and her husband Rob are AMAZING photographers and recently started their own business. I'm not just saying that they're awesome because they are such good friends, because anyone who knows me will tell you that I am brutally honest, but they really have a natural talent for capturing life's special moments. I know I can't wait for them to do our photo shoot!
